Three years have passed since Joel Tudor’s Duct Tape Invitational hit the beaches of Tofino, and every year since Vans has continued to bring good vibes to Tofino from last years Duck Tape Surf Festiville to this year’s Beach day.

Starting at 10:00 am, the Beach Day began with a beach clean up and board demo, where Tofino’s Storm and Long Beach Surf Shop brought fun shapes for beachgoers to demo throughout the day. The beach vibes were at an all-time high with the crowds surfing to music coupled with a free BBQ handing out burgs and dogs throughout the day.

Blue Intensity Premiere

After the Beach Day was wrapped up the crowds hit the local patio’s for some cheeky cocktails before heading to the Tofino Brewery for the Blue Intensity Canadian premiere, with live scored music by filmmaker George Trim. Starring Dane Gudauskas, Pat Gudauskas, Tanner Gudauskas, Nathan Fletcher and more, the movie was action packed consisting of many intense blue moments, much like the title. The highlight of the night was the rare and amazing live scored music by The Forbidden Trim Band. After the movie was over Dane Gudauskas handed out some vinyl to some lucky members of the crowd from the film soundtrack.

Huge thanks to the entire crew at Vans for hosting another amazing event celebrating the surf culture in Canada.
