We love surfboards, you love surfboards, why then do we condemn them to a dungy basment or garage to lie dormant until the next swell? Surfboards are a majestic piece of functioning art. Its time to give them a better life.

With the Holliday Gift Giving Season in full swing, we caught up with the folks at SHEPPSolutions to talk form, function, and their relationship with former CT surfer Josh Kerr.

What is the Gnarwall?

SHEPPS Gnarwall is the worlds first hidden surfboard hanging system. An eco-conscious hook and hanger system crafted from sustainable materials. Gnarwall was designed here in Canada by surfers on the shores of the Great Lakes. The system its available in three colour ways and works with Futures, FCS, or single-fin boxes.

How’d this whole Josh Kerr endorsement come to be?

We’d been following Josh online for a while and noticed a flurry of posts featuring a slew of slick boards from San Clemente shaper, Album. If you’re familiar with Album’s foam output you’ll know why Josh wanted to put them on display – they’re works of art as much as they are wave slashing machines.

Enter Gnarwall

Right around the same time, we were finishing up a successful Kickstarter campaign where we had unleashed Gnarwall on the surf world. The timing couldn’t have been better; Josh had a sick new quiver of boards. We had a sick new way to display them.

We shipped a few hooks out to the boys at Album, they handed a few over to Josh, and the rest as they say, is surfboard history.

Hers’s what Josh had to say;

“It’s rad!”

“I’ve been getting some amazing looking boards lately and started wanting to showcase them in my house. I came across this product and I love the way it makes the board look like it’s floating on the wall. Great design and super easy to install!”
